  • The Castor bean plant, a tropical shrub or small tree, can grow up to 30 feet tall. In cooler zones, it will grow to 15'.
  • It grows very quickly. The joints of the hollow stem, stalks and leaves are red or purple in colour. 
  • The leaves have 6 - 11 lobes and often have a blue grey bloom on them. 
  • When you extract the oil from the beans, it can be used for medicinal purposes.
